We are archaeologists!
As a hook into our new text Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit, we stepped back in time and experienced what it might be like to be archaeologists. Using simple tools such as spoons and small brushes, we carefully dug and uncovered hidden treasures, just as archaeologists do when exploring the past. Each discovery sparked our curiosity as we wondered what the objects could be and who might have used them. Together, we applied our inference skills to piece together possible stories behind these treasures, setting the stage for our journey into Pompeii’s history.
Our Roman homework projects
We were truly amazed by the outstanding quality of the Roman homework projects; it was clear that a great deal of effort had gone into them, and the children did a fabulous job presenting their work to the class while sharing what they had learned about life in Roman Britain and how the Romans have influenced our lives today. Well done everyone!
