Each term we hold a Buddy Reading Cafe in school. This is run and organised by our Reading Ambassadors.

Two classes come together (one from the infants and one from the juniors), to share books with each other.

Parents, carers, family and friends are all invited to come along. 

Class teachers and Mrs Lupton also bring along their favourite stories to read aloud.

At Deer Park, we believe that children should be provided with as many opportunities as possible to listen to stories being read to them.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm all of our children stop for DEER Time. 

Class teachers choose a variety of high quality texts to read to the children. This session is about reading for pleasure and enjoyment and is not linked to the English curriculum and programme of study.
